The successful candidate will serve in a chief of staff capacity, coordinating and facilitating priorities in partnership with the Center Director, and representing the Center to the broader public health and global health communities. Key responsibilities include building coordination and communication within the Center staff and faculty, as well as with external constituents and donors. The Executive Director will also be involved in the development and implementation of the Center's strategic vision, mission, and five-year plan, and will provide oversight in areas such as human resources, finance, and departmental administration.
Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least 8 years of directly related and progressive administrative experience, specifically in public health, global health, and/or higher education, and must have supervisory experience. The role requires strong writing skills, experience in successful grant writing and fundraising, and the ability to work with the Center's Advisory and Faculty Steering Committees. The Executive Director will also be responsible for the Center's image and promotion, including oversight of its representation on the website and social media. The position is term-limited with the possibility of extension and may involve some travel, as well as occasional nights and weekends, depending on the Center's needs.
