Candidates for this role should have a strong commitment to the nonpartisan, pro-democracy mission and advancing racial equity. The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading public interest advocacy campaigns, managing and developing teams, and fundraising. Experience in democratic policy issues, including voting rights, redistricting, and campaign finance reform, is essential. The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects, compel action through communication, and work with diverse stakeholders. The Executive Director will also be responsible for team management, driving public outreach, and building effective coalitions. Openness to feedback, awareness of personal growth areas, and familiarity with office productivity tools are also necessary.
