Position Summary:

As the Materials Manager, you will be responsible for the sourcing and development of materials for the Women's divisions. With consideration to timing; cost; and end-use, you will need to be resourceful; a team player; and a self-starter - partnering with Design, Product Development and Merchandising to execute and evolve company vision and esthetics from a product perspective.

Primary Responsibilities: Manage material development for the Women's divisions. Lead seasonal sourcing and development of new materials based on trend research and design inspiration. Collaborating with the Head of Materials, prepare and present new options and opportunities of materials in seasonal fabric meetings. Support with the maintenance of the Fabric Library; organization, and cleanliness. Manage material logistics, working with Product Development to understand timing and sample cadence. Source a balanced offering in terms of price points and COO to aid in the margin expectations of the company. Responsible for the ordering and arranging of shipment of Proto Yardage and Sample Yardage and upkeep of fabric details and ETAs in pertinent WIPS Track, comment, and approve Lab Dips. Launch and manage seasonal color palettes. Communicate with Garment Factories daily to troubleshoot issues regarding materials. Request and confirm FDS on a seasonal basis, maintaining seasonal FDS folders. Maintain Materials Library in Revo, adding new materials and updating existing ones. Maintain fabric details in seasonal WIP chart. Organize seasonal Development Binders, for the Production team as standards for bulk ordering. Alert the Product Development and Production teams of any quality issues; concerns; and long lead time. Work with the Head of Materials to consolidate materials across divisions and negotiate bulk pricing. Assist in bulk approvals as needed by the Production Team. Provide Design teams with innovative fabric concepts and developments. Work closely with the Head of Materials to ensure smooth collaboration within the department and cross-functionally. Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. At least 7+ years experience working in fabric development. Experience working in PLM. Experience in approving color. Skills: Extremely organized, detail oriented, and analytical. Strong computer skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to handle multiple priorities. Possess a natural, yet professional ease at working with and relating to the needs of employees in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Must be flexible to adapt to these changing business needs or special projects. Must be able to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality where appropriate. Who We Are:
