NICET/SET certifications are required. To excel in the General Manager role, one must communicate professionally with customers and staff, aiming for mutually beneficial outcomes. Education & Certifications: NICET/SET certifications in either Water Based Systems Layout and/or Fire Alarm.Additional Inspection (Sprinkler or Fire Alarm) certifications a plus.Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Related Field. Continuing education courses a plus (AFSA, NFSA, NAFED, AAFA, etc.). Experience Required: MUST have managed a branch or held an Operational Leadership position -- not open to first-time managers.Must be able to provide specific and verifiable examples of branch performance improvements, including financial and cultural.Ideal candidate will have experience in various industry roles to fully understand branch operations, i.e. someone who progressed from installer or inspector to designer, Project Manager, Sales, and management roles.Preference for those who have spent time in the local market and is familiar with local regulations, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) and those who have a strong local network.Preference for candidates who have worked in both small "owner/operator" and large "corporate" settings, possessing the understanding of the intricacies of operating in both.Bonus if experienced working for a Private Equity backed company and has managed the integration of new acquisitions.
