General Responsibilities:
The General Manager is responsible for the oversight of club operations to ensure an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience as well as a financially successful club. The General Manager is accountable for leading a team of employees in a positive, motivating manner. We are looking for a leader who is results- oriented and committed to quality service.
Anticipated responsibilities outlined below.
Duties & Responsibilities
Member Service:
Involved in all front desk related activities.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
Check members into the system.
New member sign-up.
Take prospective members on tours.
Facilitate all member requests, issues, and questions.
Employees:
Recruit, hire, train and develop a high performing staff consisting of Assistant General Managers, Front Desk Associates, Fitness Trainers, Barbers, and Hairdressers.
Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensure staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
Schedule staff and ensure all shifts are covered.
Lead by example and maintain consistent accountability for direct reports by training and coaching, ensuring adherence to PF's values and goals.
Administration and processing of bi-weekly employee timesheets.
Resolve employee issues or concerns.
Manage corrective action/termination activities.
Qualifications/Requirements
Two (2) years Supervisor or Manager experience in a restaurant or retail environment in a high-volume atmosphere or two (2) years Planet Fitness experience preferred.
Comfortable working a flexible rotating schedule
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
A High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Manage cash drawer and deposit procedure.
A Bachelor's Degree on Management or Administrative related, or four (4) years supervisor or manager experience preferred
Ability to travel to other clubs as needed
Physical Requirements
: Ability to talk and hear, sit, stand, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 75 pounds.
