The Global Product & Launch Strategy (GPLS) group at Takeda is responsible for unlocking the full potential of Takeda's pipeline and global brands by building product strategies that bring transformative benefits to the lives of patients across many therapeutic areas. GPLS will support high-impact transformative lifecycle initiatives to maximize the impact of pipeline assets and extend the reach of key global brands. The team's remit is to deliver effective global product strategies and ensure Takeda achieves its long terms goals for our global brands.
The Global Insights Lead for TAK-861 is a key strategic thought partner to the TAK-861 PSL (Product Strategy Lead) and the broader TAK-861 commercial teams driving key insight generation activities to prepare our exciting late stage orexin asset for launch in NT1. You will be accountable to ensure we have a deep understanding of the markets, our stakeholders, and competitors, and that we are ready to execute on key commercialization activities, build the brand, and prepare for launch so that we can maximize the impact to patients around the globe. POSITION OBJECTIVES: Act as trusted advisor to the TAK-861 PSL and Global Commercial team helping to catalyze robust decision making as the team prepares for launch and begins to build the global NT1 brand.Successfully design and execute strategic insight projects via primary and secondary market research, competitive intelligence and analytics that deliver high-quality, objective insights that advance the thinking of key partners and supports decision making.ACCOUNTABILITIES: Lead market research (primary/secondary), competitive intelligence and data-analytics projects that deliver high quality, actionable business insights to the TAK-861 PSL, GCT and GPT.Act as a strategic partner to the TAK-861 Product Strategy Lead (PSLs), Global Commercial Leads (GCLs), and Global Brand Leads (GBLs) as well as key regional, local and cross-functional teams.Leverage your previous commercial launch and inline product experience to contribute to the development of TAK-861 NT1 brand and launch strategy in support of pipeline and new product commercial preparedness.Act as a strong contributing member of Global Commercial and Product Teams, as well as other ad-hoc cross functional teams that are involved in the commercialization strategy for TAK-861 in NT1.Partner effectively with other internal teams (Global Pricing & Access, Regional & Local Insight teams, TAUs, etc.) to deliver a broad and comprehensive understanding of the NT1 market and TAK-861.Collaborate closely with US and other Regional New Products Planning and Insights colleagues to ensure Global activities are aligned with Regional activities.Adhere to all Global and Regional policies and procedures as it relates to Global Insights and Competitive Intelligence.EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Required: BA/BS required12-14 years of experience in a commercial capacity within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry requiredCandidate should have a successful track record functioning in a matrix environment and delivering results in the areas of market research, product analytics and/or forecastingProven skills as an effective team player who can influence in a cross functional environment outside of immediate reporting lines are requiredWillingness to travel to various meetings/conferences including international travel is required.Subject matter expertise in one or more of these disciplines: competitive intelligence, market research, and forecasting and or product analyticsPrevious experience working on launch or inline brands in the pharmaceutical space from a commercial or insights perspective.Desired: MBA or advanced degree preferredExperience operating in global markets is preferredSubject matter expertise in two or more of these disciplines preferred: competitive intelligence, market research, forecasting and/or product analyticsIndustry knowledge – comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industryTherapeutic knowledge – an in-depth understanding the narcolepsy space, specifically NT1.Marketing Techniques – comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical marketing. U.S. Base Salary Range: $169,400.00 - $266,200.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
