This position works out in our facilities of Lake Forest IL in the Diagnostics Division.

What You'll Work On
The individual in this position leads the development of pricing strategies for the Digital Heath Solutions (DHS) business unit of Abbott Diagnostics. They develop initial pricing recommendations based on the global commercial strategy, and coordinate with regional commercial teams to localize pricing strategies as needed to drive both market growth and margin improvement initiatives. In addition, this person helps develop and maintain the associated pricing tools and identifies and drives implementation of best practices.
Core Job Responsibilities
Set new product pricing and price updates alongside local marketing, sales, and pricing teams, leveraging principles of value-based pricing and achievement of margin goals
Drive implementation of strategic pricing tools and processes
Monitor effectiveness of pricing strategies, tools, and processes, and coordinate improvements
As needed, provide deal-specific pricing support to local sales and pricing teams to increase win rates and profitable growth
Perform pricing analyses and audits to track adherence to approved pricing strategies, identify trends, and provide insights to leadership that facilitate better decisions
Drive value creation by identifying gross margin improvement opportunities and support the implementation of changes
Drive understanding, ownership, and adoption of commercial profit levers amongst the commercial team
Provide oversight in setting up new products and parts in internal systems and monitor internal cost profiles
Support loading and auditing in pricing tools of agreed pricing
Develop customer contract and statements of work templates with legal and commercial teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required;
Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a combination of sales, marketing, finance, or pricing roles
Experience in healthcare industry and product portfolios that include software-as-a-service, hardware items, and professional services
Experience with pricing large customer deals and associated profitability analysis
Strong understanding of contract terms and how they impact deal profitability and revenue recognition
Strong leadership skills with ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and influence without direct authority
Strategic thinker with effective communication skills
Strong data analysis skills and expert using Microsoft Excel and similar tools
Preferred Qualification
Master's degree in business, finance, or economics preferred

The base pay for this position is $125,300.00 – $250,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
