The Grants Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the administration of federal grants for our client. Working closely with internal teams and government funding entities, this role ensures the effective implementation and achievement of grant activities. The Grants Specialist plays a critical role in data collection, evaluating program effectiveness and maintaining transparency and integrity across all grant-funded programs. This position also manages reporting and compliance for grants at federal, state, county and local levels.

Grants Specialist Responsibilities: Assist in the coordination and administration of competitive federal, state and local government grantsBuild and manage relationships with government funding entities, ensuring transparency and maintaining the highest standards of integrityCollect and manage data for government-funded programs to ensure accurate and timely reporting (monthly, quarterly, trimester or final)Enter and review grant data in grantor systems; collaborate with program leads to resolve inaccuracies or missing informationStay up to date with grant management best practices and federal regulationsMeasure and evaluate program effectiveness using best practice tools and methodologiesServe as a liaison between internal teams and government funding bodies to ensure smooth grant implementationMaintain the Grant Cycle Calendar and work with teams to meet all deadlinesCollaborate with Program Directors to ensure services are compliant with grant guidelines and achieve desired outcomes; flag performance or compliance issuesTrack expenditures, manage grant funds and maintain detailed records for accurate reporting and budget alignmentPartner with grant evaluators to gather program data and make necessary improvementsWork closely with the Philanthropy team to support overall organizational and fundraising goalsFoster a positive culture that aligns with the organization's core values during interactions with stakeholdersEngage in professional development to continually enhance your knowledge and skills Grants Specialist Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, Nonprofit Management or a related field2+ years of experience in nonprofit or government work2+ years in publicly funded compliance and grant management, preferably with government grantsValid driver's license and a satisfactory driving recordExperience with program evaluation, data analysis and creating dashboardsStrong written communication skillsSolid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to create and analyze financial reportsHighly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple high-level projectsExceptional organizational and interpersonal skillsEffective verbal communication and problem-solving abilitiesExperience managing large-scale government grants preferredGrant writing and relationship management experience a plus
