The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding from state and federal sources. This role requires a high level of expertise in grant writing, with a focus on producing compelling, well-structured proposals in English. In addition to writing grants, this position will involve administrative tasks such as client management, grant administration, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify potential state and federal grant opportunities aligned with our clients' missions.
Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports in English.
Develop detailed budgets, timelines, and work plans for grant proposals.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary information and documentation for grant submissions.
Manage and track multiple grant proposals simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Assist in post-award administration, including monitoring grant compliance, reporting requirements, and budget management.
Maintain organized records of all grant submissions, awards, and correspondences.
Provide excellent client service by maintaining regular communication with clients regarding the status of their grants.
Support other administrative functions as needed, including client management and documentation.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in grant writing with a strong track record of successful state and federal grant submissions.
Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills with a focus on clarity, precision, and persuasiveness.
Proficient in English with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with grant compliance, reporting, and administration processes.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and grant management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
Experience in client management and administration in a nonprofit or grant writing environment.
Knowledge of specific state and federal grant programs and application processes.
