Description

The Grocery Clerk is an important position within the store. Many customers make their decisions to shop at our store because of the quality and variety of our departments and specifically the many grocery items that we make available to them. This position is responsible for creating an appealing presentation of the tremendous variety and selection of products that we offer. Our customers trust the safety of the products we sell. We must do everything to give them the right price and the right items when they want it. The Grocery Clerk can make the difference by the way he or she does their job. We need to treat each individual like a guest in our homewith courtesy, friendliness and the respect that they deserve.

Position Requirements

Able to read, write and speak English with reasonable proficiency Possesses basic math skills Able to communicate effectively with customer, associates, and others Friendly and pleasant Available in terms of scheduling hours Reliable, good work ethic Clean, presentable appearance Good customer service skills Ability to lift boxes at a minimum weight of 50 pounds Ability to stand for four consecutive hours, without restrictions Jon's Marketplace is a drug free workplace
