Ostomy care. Assists clients with medical equipment, supplies, and devices as prescribed. Assists with self-administered medication. Simple skincare. Takes and record pulse, temperature, respiration, and blood pressure. Performs light housekeeping activities (tidying, shopping, laundry). Observes, reports, and records changes in the client's condition and environment. Adheres to accepted infection control practices. Assists with nutritional and fluid intake needs, including preparation of meals. Ensures client's rights and confidentiality are maintained. Sixth (6) grade reading comprehension level. Writing and math skill level to the extent necessary for the successful and safe performance of required job functions. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Physical Requirements Full range of body motion, including handling and lifting adult clients. Standing and walking for extensive periods, as well as bending and climbing stairs. Commonly lifts, carries, and maneuvers items weighing more than 50 lbs.
