Savard is looking for a Architectural Engineer/Inspector in San Juan, PR for job# 20568 Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Architectural Engineer/Inspector to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction projects, specifically as a Civil and/or Architectural Inspector.
This role involves ensuring that technical designs and drawings are accurately followed, project specifications are met, and that health, safety, and sustainability policies are adhered to throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities: Review and check technical designs and drawings for accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
Ensure that all construction activities align with approved designs and standards.
Monitor project packages to ensure they meet agreed specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Conduct regular inspections and assessments to verify compliance with project requirements.
Prepare detailed site reports, logging progress and any issues encountered during construction.
Document findings and communicate them to project management and relevant stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and sustainability legislation throughout the construction process.
Conduct safety inspections and enforce compliance with safety protocols.
Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution.
Communicate effectively in both Spanish and English to ensure clear understanding among all parties involved.
Qualifications: Must have 5+ years of proven experience as a Civil and/or Architectural Inspector on construction projects.
Must be able to pass a background check Must have or be able to obtain TWIC Must be able to provide 2 professional references or letter of recommendation Strong understanding of architectural and engineering principles, design standards, and construction practices.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies in designs and construction.
Proficient in project activity reporting and monitoring.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and sustainability practices in construction.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Relevant certifications or degrees in architecture, civil engineering, or a related field are preferred.
Working Conditions: This position may require travel to various construction sites and working in outdoor environments.
The role may involve physical activities related to site inspections.
