NetXperts is looking for an IT Support Technician. This position will be onsite full time in San Fernando, California, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm PST.
Job description:
• Ability to interface with multiple businesses on a daily basis
• Analyze complex IT business needs presented and recommend technical solutions; solve basic and complex IT malfunctions and performs troubleshooting
• Document/coordinate LAN activity, backups, maintenance, server upgrades and patching
• Assist in Maintaining network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals; implement WAN connectivity to meet requirements
• Utilizing various tools to perform various tasks such as: centralization, backup, vulnerability scans, data recover
• Ability to work with multiple COTS products such as: Symantec EP, Symantec backup exec, APC
• Knowledge in Microsoft server operating systems (2012,2016, 2019) and Windows 10/11, VMWare
• Knowledge in Microsoft 365 Administration including Entra ID
• Coordinates third party maintenance for network hardware, software and services Support the network department in an administrative function during downtime for activities such as network department customer care calls, offering network services to clients,
• Willing to learn attitude, always maintaining top IT skills and learning new technologies.
• Must be able to prioritize urgent issues and effectively communicate with the client as well as Internal team and leadership.
• Must be able to strategize infrastructure changes and effectively implement them with minimal downtime.
• Must be willing to be flexible with work hours for urgent issues and project work.
• Other duties as assigned
Education and Professional Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Information Systems, Information System Technologies, Management Information Systems)
• 3+ years in a related field, preferably in professional services and/or MSP industry
Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Technical proficiency in multiple areas including: security, networking, administration, and hardware
• Customer facing skills a must
• Leadership in a team environment and fostering client relationships
• Active Directory
• AD GPOs, Desktop support, troubleshooting
• Previous consulting experience a plus
Preferred Outcomes:
• Assimilate knowledge of NetXperts process and workflow within 2 weeks of start date
• Assimilate knowledge of assigned customer process and workflow within 4 weeks of beginning work with each customer
• 100% of Customer support tickets completely resolved within SLA, with greater than 75% first request resolution (ticket not reopened)
• Develop and refine customer IT process and document procedures into a playbook that can be understood and used by other technical staff
• Identify and propose process and technological improvements to customer environments each quarter
