The Client Device Specialist manages and configures Windows, MacOS, and Linux devices deployed to users and within labs across our customer. They also develop and maintain base configurations for various devices, perform software deployments and troubleshooting, and create and manage software deployment packages.

Technical Experience:
• Experience with two or more of the following:
Apple Devices: Proficient in deploying, configuring, and managing macOS devices using Jamf Pro. (Jamf exp is a MUST)
Windows Devices: Proficient in deploying, configuring, and managing Microsoft Windows devices using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and/or Intune.
Linux Devices: Proficient in managing and administering Linux systems, including security best practices.
• Proficient in deploying and managing desktop operating systems and software applications at scale, including ongoing configuration management for optimized performance and security.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office/O365 and Google Suite products for user support and configuration.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to isolate and diagnose technical issues.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and build strong partnerships.
• Ability to secure endpoints within an enterprise environment, implementing best practices for vulnerability management, and access control.
ENDPOINT ADMINISTRATION
Manage and Secure Endpoint Environments:
• Leverage expertise in Microsoft technologies like Intune, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) to deploy configurations and manage diverse devices (Windows, macOS, Linux).
• Utilize Jamf Pro for Apple device management (School Manager, AppStore) to ensure consistent user experience.
Provide Seamless User Experience:
• Ensure consistency across physical and virtual desktops for all Mines users.
• Develop base configurations for various client devices.
Software Deployment and Management:
• Perform client endpoint installations, testing, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Create and manage software deployment packages for efficient delivery.
• Monitor software delivery and ensure optimal license utilization.
• Utilize scripting for efficient campus-wide system changes.
Group Policy Management:
• Create, administer, and maintain Group Policy settings for centralized license, security, and file management across client systems.
• Verify functionality and manage profile configurations for a seamless user experience.
• Configure Group Policy to restrict access as required to meet licensing and security regulations.
Package Creation and Updates:
• Build and manage software and hardware installation packages for new applications and hardware deployments.
• Maintain up-to-date driver packages for new campus hardware.
• Develop deployment packages for new operating system rollouts.
