POSITION: Judicial Clerk I
DUTIES: * Assists customers with paperwork * Answers questions, reviews court forms for completeness, and assigns case numbers * Receives and processes incoming correspondence via email, mail, and in-person filings and distribution. * Directs customers to appropriate services such as legal clinics, self-help information and specialists, local libraries, the bar association, or family court facilitators. * Maintains case documentation, including updating contact information, processing bond forfeitures, and entering transcript requests * Adheres to data integrity and timelines per applicable laws and regulations. * Transfers information from law enforcement tickets or information filed into the case management system. * Manages scheduling for time sensitive cases, such as cases requesting protection orders or other emergency matters. Ensures court-scheduled events and review dates are entered in every case. * Accepts and processes payments via cash, check, and credit card for court fines, fees, filing fees, and bonds. Reconciles cash drawer and prepares the daily deposit. * Responds to customer's inquiries via phone, email, and voice mail. Acts as liaison between division/Judicial Officer and customers, directs parties to correct location and/or divisions, de-escalates situations of stress or conflict, and explains court processes without providing legal advice * Trains within trial court procedures. * Issues orders and notices from the court, including orders regarding case deadlines, notices of new case filings, receipt of trial court records, and mandates returning authority to a trial court once case is complete. Ensures service to all necessary litigants and trial courts. * Completes required trainings and attend meetings as requested. * Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: * High School Diploma or GED

WAGE: (Fulltime range) $45,764-$66,358

JOB SITE: Bent County/Crowley County 1-2 days/mth
