Linux System Administrators collaborate with a diverse team to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you are able to develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems. The selected individual should be a professional contributor who is willing to work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
What You Will Do: Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems. Install and configure hardware and OS. This position is a 100% onsite role in Forest, MS. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically, Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience or 6 years of directly related experience. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Linux experience Experience in one of the following: VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), ESX and/or other virtual computing methods. Qualifications We Prefer: An active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance. DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level 2 certification or higher Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF In-depth working experience in Windows Server Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes. Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods. Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development. High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment Experience hardening systems using tools like SCAP and following STIGs. The salary range for this role is 57,000 USD - 115,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
