Logistics Customer Sales Specialist
The Logistics Customer Sales Specialist is responsible for creating a book of business and creating new customer sales for the brokerage division in a 3PL environment of an Asset Based Carrier.

Responsibilities
Identify logistics and shipping personnel and establish points of contact as well as building, maintaining and strengthening those relationships. Build a portfolio of business by selling freight services in multiple modes, Full Truckload, Liquid Bulk, Flatbed, Reefer, and Specialized shipments. Provide exemplary customer service in a logistics environment of a 3PL Brokerage. Oversee customer operations on accounts and communicate directly with transportation and logistics departments on their day-to-day shipments. Accurately, and effectively price, negotiate, and win spot freight and contractual freight via RFPs. Create opportunity for relationship building by identifying new leads and contacts in shipping and transportation. Create and use a customer lead list targeting growth accounts. Build-higher level customer relations within the transportation industry to gain business. Cover shipments as necessary. Review customer accounts receivable (AR) and ensure payment is made. Actively work to achieve and exceed quarterly and yearly goals including quotas, referral metrics, and sales goals. Collaborate with Director, Brokerage Services regarding sales strategies. Perform additional duties as required.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. Experience using Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Sales experience required. Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills. Proven ability to work independently. Demonstrated skill to see a project to completion. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to act as a team player and get involved in all aspects of the business function. Self-starter with a drive to earn and grow.
