This key position is responsible for the operation of all warehouse equipment, machinery and maintenance personnel. The individual will ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment, perform scheduled preventative maintenance as planned; perform production equipment changeovers; troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical problems when needed; maintain proper records for maintenance, inventory of parts and emergency repairs; ensure good housekeeping habits related to maintenance; train on equipment, and share ideas and other problems with the team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONIBIILITIES: Develop staff for future opportunities by providing constructive feedback and writing and conducting performance reviews Develop training materials and procedures for department Collaborate with Operations teams to provide the level of service needed Work with vendors and suppliers for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and new equipment installation when applicable Ensure production and warehouse equipment are running safely and efficiently Impacts retention by fostering a respectful team environment that supports workplace values through professional communication and timely problem solving Develop plans with action items to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department Manage daily activities of the maintenance team to ensure adequate overage while meeting budgetary goals Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure SQF requirements are bring met for machinery and equipment Maintain department facility, training and regulatory logs and reports Assist in interviewing candidates as assigned Communicate effectively with outside and inside partners at all levels of the organization Assists in maintaining the security of the facility Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance Minimal Travel as required Other duties/projects as assigned Requirements EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Technical maintenance skill training in mechanized, electronic and/or automated technology Minimum of 10 years supervisory experience in a similar environment Minimum of 5 years CMMS experience Experience with pneumatics, electrical and hydraulics Ability to review and interpret technical drawings Certifications in mechanized, electronic and automated technology preferred Knowledge of Microsoft Office SKILLS Ability to read, write and speak English effectively Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and use diagnostic tools for troubleshooting PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK EFFORT Ability to work in cold storage environment (-10 to 40) Lift up to 30lbs continuously and 50lbs on occasion Walk and stand for entire shift (8-10 hours) and stoop, kneel, crawl and climb Able to work in heights of 30+ feet About Us About The Popcorn Factory
