A Full-Service Medical Group, with 16 locations, is seeking a proficient and bilingual Medical Biller to join their team!
The Medical Biller will play a crucial role in expediting claims processing for all daily generated superbills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our billing operations.
Pay Rate:$19.00/hr.
Shift: Monday - Friday / 8:00AM - 5:00PM
City: Alhambra, CA
Medical Biller Duties: Facilitate efficient claims processing by promptly providing superbills and any necessary attachments, such as rebilling or HEDIS documentation. Accurately create claims by entering daily superbills into company billing system, ensuring all relevant information is correctly documented. Generate and compile various reports essential to company billing processes, contributing to accurate financial tracking and decision-making. Collaborate on billing projects as assigned, bringing your expertise to enhance project success. Monitor the status of superbills, tracking missing, pending, or incomplete items, and take proactive steps to resolve issues. Verify the precision of claims submitted for payment, including forms like PM160 and CMS 1500, to maximize reimbursement. Engage with insurance vendors as necessary to facilitate efficient claims processing, addressing any inquiries or concerns. Medical Biller Job Requirements: Demonstrated experience as a Medical Biller, with education from an accredited institution. Proficiency in healthcare coding systems, including HCPCS, CPT, and ICD9, to ensure accurate claims preparation. Possession of a Medical Billing certificate showcasing competence in billing practices. Previous experience with Medi-Cal reimbursement guidelines is highly preferred, enhancing your ability to navigate specialized billing requirements. Fluency in both English and Spanish is a mandatory requirement, enabling effective communication with a diverse patient population. Competency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and Word, to support reporting and documentation tasks. High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
