Description OVERVIEW Description: Our District is looking for a self-motivated, responsible individuals who love to teach music to children and adults of all ages. We are seeking candidates primarily with piano, guitar, and violin/viola, backgrounds; but we are open to consider candidates who have experience with other instruments as well. Music Instructors are required to provide a safe, encouraging learning environment where a participant can grow in knowledge of the instrument, further develop their skills, and improve upon these skills. All lessons will be held at the Maine Park Leisure Center.

Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of 2 years' experience teaching a musical instrument to various age levels, a vast knowledge of music, play the instrument, be able to read music, and have an understanding of music theory. Must have the ability to work on their own and with individuals. Must be CPR/AED and first-aid certified or have the ability to become certified (through our district) within 90 days of hire.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent
