Job Description POSITION SUMMARY
Verifies and balances entries and record of financial transactions reported by various hotel departments during the day.
RESPONSIBILITIES Always maintain a pleasant, friendly and welcoming attitude at all times. Have a complete knowledge of all special events, facilities and promotional activities available to guests. Audits all accounts to ensure that they are in balance. Tray and city ledger, reservation deposits, credit card accounts, room and restaurant charges, other master accounts. Close out various accounts and transfer when necessary to master accounts. Prepare final reports of all accounts. Prepare daily reports. Post room and tax revenue and late charges. Other duties as assigned. MISCELLANEOUS Ability to operate a posting machine, 10-key calculator and computer. Knowledge of the principles of auditing, balancing and closing of accounts. Ability to read, write and understand accounting documents. Ability to work alone. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures. QUALIFICATIONS A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Vocational or business college courses in bookkeeping and business machines. One year experience as a Front Desk Agent with night audit training. MENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Sitting/Keyboarding 80% Walking/Standing 20% Office environment Casino environment exposed to varied temperatures, noise and bright lights. High rise hotel.
