Job Type Part-timeDescriptionJob DescriptionPART TIME 25-30 HRSPerform order entry tasks and related activities in support of the medication dispensing process.Enter new and refill orders in a timely and accurate manner based upon priority assignedComplete all data fields according to pharmacy procedures including use of approved abbreviations including dosage and day supply calculations.Comply with a process that addresses all state and federal guidelines regarding medication labeling.Assists all customers calls in a courteous and professional mannerAssist all patients in a courteous and professional mannerCross train in all areas of the Pharmacy departmentConsult with dispensing pharmacist regarding prescription order clarification, order entry problems or concernsFollow all applicable government regulations including HIPAAOther duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs RequirementsMinimum (Required) Qualifications: (must be met in order to perform the job at the required level)Licensed/Registered pharmacy technician required by Maryland state lawHigh School diploma or equivalentPrevious pharmacy experience required (one year experience in a retail pharmacy preferred)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently, meet deadlines and be flexibleGood organizational skills and detail orientedKnowledge of medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numeral), brand and generic names of medications and general pharmacy terminologyAbility to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting informationAbility to maintain composure on phone when handling customer callsAbility to provide excellent customer serviceBasic math and analytical skillsIntermediate typing/keyboarding skillsAbility to read, write, speak and understand the English language This is a part time position and applicant MUST be able to work until 7pm and at least 2 weekends a month and holidays as needed YOU MUST BE FULLY VACCINNATED TO APPLY AND HAVE PROOF OF VACCINATION AT TIME OF INTERVIEW Preferred Qualifications:Experience using PioneerRXExperience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft OutlookMust be able to sit and/or stand for 7-10hrs a day.
