Job Summary:Alameda Elder Services is currently seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team at our healthcare facility in Alameda, California. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to assist in providing high-quality physical therapy services to our patients. The PTA will work with a group of patients with varying needs and conditions.Compensation & Benefits:This is a full-time, hourly position with a compensation range of $37 to $42 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k with employer match, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement within our growing company.Responsibilities:Assist licensed physical therapist in evaluating patient's condition, assessing progress, and developing a treatment planAssist in implementing treatment plans that include exercise, massage, and other therapeutic techniquesDocument patient progress and communicate updates to the treating physical therapistEducate patients and families on proper techniques and exercises to facilitate recovery and prevent further injuryMaintain a clean and organized therapy area and monitor equipment inventoryCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the patient receives well-rounded careStay current with developments in the field of physical therapy and attend continuing education courses as neededRequirements:Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant programCurrent and valid PTA license in the state of CaliforniaBLS certificationKnowledge of and experience with various therapy techniques and equipmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamPrior experience working in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferredMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of timeEEOC statement:Alameda Elder Services is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes individuals from all backgrounds to apply.
