Job Summary Responsible for controlling and coordinating activities related to determining appropriate forecasting models and demand forecasts for products distributed by the company.
Create and maintain forecasting models for the products by incorporating business intelligence and information obtained from the sales, marketing, finance, and operations departments.
Plan, control, and coordinate activities related to the acquisition, replenishment, movement, and turnover of assigned products and suppliers according to the criteria, objectives, and guidelines defined corporately to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Identify, establish, coordinate, and execute corrective plans for deviations.
Maintain information and files on products, costs, deliveries, sales plans, forecasting models, results obtained, supplier performance, and inventories.
Responsibilities and Duties Responsible for developing and analyzing demand forecasting models for multiple product planning horizons.
Tasked with analyzing historical sales trends, researching demand drivers, preparing data for statistical forecasting models, and evaluating the results obtained.
Responsible for collaborating with the sales, purchasing, marketing, and finance departments to collect data and information, such as variance reconciliation, understanding changes in demand, and gathering data to review forecasting models.
In charge of coordinating, providing, and communicating critical information for the acquisition, replenishment, movement, and turnover of products, as well as developing inventory strategies for existing, new, or phasing-out products.
Responsible for generating and managing purchase orders to suppliers and inventory orders between warehouses according to established needs and criteria to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Tasked with maintaining records of costs, deliveries, and supplier performance, providing related reports, and analyzing performance indicators to improve inventory processes.
Responsible for processing, placing, and tracking documentation and purchase orders for direct shipment customers while maintaining service and inventory levels in line with corporate objectives, analyzing deviations, and taking corrective actions.
Maintain and analyze performance indicators (KPIs, such as inventory shortages, dollar delays, percentage of sales, excess inventory, order fill rate, line fill rate) to coordinate and execute control measures in inventory processes monthly.
Collaborate and coordinate meetings with operations, sales, and marketing teams to receive and analyze forecasts, revisions, promotions, special events, and initiatives.
Provide guidance to departments, individuals, and suppliers on matters related to assigned products and suppliers, as well as decision-making.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, as well as the policies and procedures of our organization.
Available to perform other tasks inherent to the position but necessary for the good development and performance of the team.
Qualifications and Skills BA in Business Administration and/or Materials Management.
Three (3) years of experience in similar roles.
Analytical skills, planning, and time management.
Application of descriptive statistics (tables, graphs, mean, median, standard deviation, variance, etc.).
Attention to detail, negotiation skills, and effective communication.
Ability to make data-driven decisions based on analysis.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office 360 programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English (Bilingual).
