Summary of Position
Fulgent Genetics is looking for a passionate Product Manager who is enthusiastic to share our product portfolio with both internal teams and external customers.
The primary responsibilities of our Product Manager are:
Define and maintain clinical genomics product portfolio by integrating knowledge of gene/disease relationships and professional testing guidelines. Define, build, and launch new clinical genomics product offerings in coordination with R&D, marketing, and other teams. Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams in managing, documenting, and resolving billing issues to ensure accurate coding and compliance with payor requirements and regulations related to genetic testing. Serve as subject matter expert for internal trainings to sales and other team members and in external client presentations. Key Job Elements Billing and Revenue Cycle Management Test Menu Management: Collaborate with the billing and revenue cycle teams to maintain and update test menu to ensure correct CPT codes. Coding and Documentation: Develop, review, and update documentation/templates to support billing claims. Compliance and Regulations Service as subject matter expert to assist internal teams in understanding, applying, and complying with regulations. Claim Management. Assist as subject matter expert for genetic tests claims submission or denials. Education Educate clinical and administrative on coding and billing practices for genetic tests. Responsible for new product development projects and drives market readiness in product delivery. Takes charge of the maintenance of existing product portfolios through competitor analysis and market research. Works with the marketing team to develop business intelligence and market access strategies through competitive analysis and market research. Leads creation of marketing materials that communicate product features to support clients and internal departments, including print and digital collateral, sales aides. Contributes to the marketing department's creation of product packaging, documentation, literature, media contents, public events, and corporate image. Collaborates with marketing team to create positioning and content for internal and external channels (email, social media, newsletter, webinars). Initiates, manages, analyzes, and presents research information to the product & marketing manager. Recommends direction or changes to marketing mix based on research results. Drives internal education programs to support understanding of products and its impact on the broader patient and medical community. Assists in internal product development and regulatory activities. Leads compliance initiatives in test requisition forms, consent and release forms, as well as marketing languages. Trains internal sales force, distribution partners, and medical providers on product details. Be a Fulgent Brand Ambassador. Contributes to product development by serving as a channel of communication between customers and product development team. Collaborates with Curation, R&D, and Genetic Counseling Teams to produce case studies and white papers. Collaborates with various functional groups to leverage resources: Billing, Revenue Cycle, Client Services, Sales and Business Development, R&D, Clinical Lab, Integration, and Marketing. Qualifications Knowledge/Experience Master's Degree or equivalent in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or related field. Genetic Counseling or Medical Science Liaison experience is a plus. 3+ years' experience in full-cycle product development, management, and marketing preferred. 3+ years' experience in relationship management of multiple distribution channels, healthcare providers, and sales teams preferred. Working knowledge of billing and revenue cycle management pertaining to genetic testing. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or G Suite. Understanding of legal and regulatory environment in healthcare promotions, biotech industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues. SKILLS: Strong financial and quantitative analysis skills. Exceptional communication skills. Excellent project management skills. ABILITIES: Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with no supervision. Ability to direct cross-functional teams. Ability to multitask and handle deadlines.
