Our target demographic is twofold: 1) students identified as in need or eligible for diversion programs based on demonstrated behavior and risk factors, and 2) students who are on task for positive post-secondary opportunities, including college success and workforce development.Job Description:The Program Coordinator will implement, coordinate, and develop this new program. The Coordinator will leverage partnerships with existing and new partners and vendors. The vendors are responsible for conducting workshop activities and providing follow-up and wraparound services. Implement the program within the outlines of the NYS Department of Health and KAVIs guidelines. Coordinating program activities with the anti-GBV consultant Identify program locations, including community and school settings. Identify types of program partners needed to implement and solidify those partnerships. Engage with partners (schools, service providers) to create MOUs and Linkage Agreements. Create and coordinate program activity calendar and schedule Recruit and enroll program participants Coordinate program activities Work with KAVIs Data and Evaluation Manager to develop and maintain program metrics and information. Develop and maintain relationships with government partners and supportive community-based organizations that align with program participant's needs Participate in activities mandated and suggested by NYS and NYC Department of Health and other government agencies. Perform other duties as assigned by the Co-Executive DirectorQualifications & Competencies Experience working with sexual literacy, anti-violence and/or anti-GBV modalities is a plus Able to engage and work with individuals and organizations of diverse backgrounds Empathetic communication skills and behaviors Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Solution-oriented, able to think creatively to address challenges and obstacles Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite & Zoom. Excellent time management skills, prioritizing, coordinating, and organizingmultiple activities. Flexibility and willingness to adjust and respond to changing situations. Interest in social and restorative justice, passion for serving communities College degree, graduate degree preferred in related fields of youth development Experience working with high school students and young adults under the age of 24 Youth Development experience is a plus Experience with sexual literacy curriculums is a plus Connections to education, workforce development and youth development organizations and opportunities is a plus Experience working in schools NYS Department of Education Background clearance is required for this positionCompensation: This position is budgeted for an annual salary of $80,000 plus a cell phone and Metrocard stipend.
