Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Project Manager with a background in industrial engineering to lead and manage multiple large-scale construction and capital projects on a part-time, hybrid basis.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required, and experience with federal funding and knowledge of technology will be highly valued.
A PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
The project has an expected duration of three to four years.
The position offers a flexible work arrangement, with both remote and on-site responsibilities in the Metropolitan Area, Puerto Rico.
This role is offered under a professional services contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple related projects in the construction and capital project space, ensuring that each is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Develop, implement and manage master project plan and schedules, and monitor deliverables to ensure timely project delivery.
Monitor contractor billings to ensure the project stays within budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, in both English and Spanish.
Monitor and control all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and closing.
Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential issues.
Manage project resources, including personnel and meeting facilities.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders in both languages to provide project updates and address any issues or concerns.
Leverage technology to streamline project management processes and improve communication and data management.
Qualifications
:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on construction and capital projects.
PMP certification is highly preferred.
Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each is delivered within budget and time constraints.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required for effective communication with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Experience with federal funding processes and regulatory compliance will be highly valued.
Familiarity with project-related technology platforms to optimize project workflow and data management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Familiarity with construction safety regulations and industry best practices.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience in managing capital projects in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of cost control, risk management, and quality assurance processes.
Expertise in contract management and negotiation.
Ability to lead diverse teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with environmental and sustainability considerations in construction projects.
