The successful candidate will oversee various aspects of construction and design projects, from concept to completion, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Prepares reports and makes presentations to management on various topics such as space design, materials and equipment, cost estimates, and estimated time to complete projects, among others.
Conducts research into quality, innovative and economical materials and finishes.
Evaluate supplier proposals.
Evaluate the offer of guarantees and insurance related to equipment and materials.
Review policies, procedures and forms relating to construction management.
Directs and reviews the work of technical staff and subcontracted project managers.
Identifies savings opportunities in the works and presents them for consideration.
Collaborates in the implementation of the Master Plan, the Capital Projects Plan and the Operation and Maintenance Projects Plan.
Coordinate with all parties the works to be carried out.
It promotes communication and teamwork.
Maintains updated financial reports of works.
Keeps the project budget report up to date.
Advises on the appropriate use of space, analyzes the use of spaces in general and proposes compatible use in the available spaces.
Plans the general itinerary of the works to be carried out during the fiscal year.
Supervises the progress of the works, according to the established project portfolio.
Keeps key stakeholders and interest groups informed about the details of the works.
Prepares the monthly expenditure projection (cash flow) of the project portfolio.
Keeps the presentation of the project portfolio up to date.
Prepare the necessary auction documents.
Ensures compliance with the institution's purchasing and acquisition policy Other Knowledge: Knowledge of spatial design and the use of technological tools used in their field to produce plans, drawings and models.
Knowledge in the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
Knowledge of Office 365, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop & Illustrator.
Knowledge of environmental, safety and construction laws applicable to the design of structures and spaces.
Knowledge of current building codes.
Knowledge of design and construction project management.
Knowledge in the preparation of design and construction contracts, conflict management and negotiation.
Knowledge in the management of permits and endorsements related to the construction and use or operation of structures.
Ability to observe and evaluate end-user needs, quality standards and customer satisfaction at the end of each project.
Proficiency in Spanish and English, oral and written Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on construction and design.
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
PM certification prefered.
