JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the facility Human Resources Director, this role is responsible for recruitment and retention of qualified candidates. Responsible to collaborate with executive leadership to establish effective recruitment strategies and performance expectations. Responsible for the coordination of employment process in compliance with the established policies and procedures. This position will also cover employee relations matters.
In-office position JOB QUALIFICATIONS Five (5) years of previous healthcare recruitment experience preferredLevel of knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in The interpersonal skills necessary to maintain positive and productive relationships with all customers. Internal customers include but are not limited to employees, all levels of leadership, volunteers, physicians, etc. External customers include applicants, advertising agencies, search firms and other vendors as well as community organizations, colleges and universities. The analytical ability necessary to make independent decisions based on current hospital policies and procedures relating to system or departmental needs. A working knowledge of Illinois and Federal Employment laws regarding employment. Must be forward thinking and creative in talent acquisition methods. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. JOB DUTIES Manages, advises, and resolves employee relations matters for the hospital.Implements and contributes to strategic long-range recruitment plans to support the organization's vision and goals.Plans and implements recruitment strategies by working with leaders of assigned areas to evaluate current and anticipated vacancies. Strategies may include but are not limited to: Develops and administers the organizations' employment, recruitment, placement and transfer programs in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action laws and guidelines. May assist with talent acquisition activity for executive and managerial positions. Monitors and reports all recruitment and retention metrics reports including vacancy, turnover, time to fill and source hit rates. Interprets and advises employees and leaders on recruitment procedures. Upon applicant's acceptance of employment offer, assures completion of required pre-employment physical screenings, confirms start dates and orientation dates for employment and regularly communicates with leaders regarding applicant status in completing the employment process. Researches, makes recommendations, and coordinates the implementation of selection techniques including assessment, behavioral interviewing, and structured interviews. Initiates and monitors the criminal background check and reference checking process by forwarding appropriate forms to established vendors. Remains informed of developments in area of expertise by attending seminars and workshops, reading pertinent literature and so forth. In collaboration with appropriate staff, takes part in developing and implementing staff retention strategies. Orients and precepts incoming recruiting staff to the department, their role, and departmental resources. Conforms to the established Standards of Behavior. Other duties as assigned.
