Description JOB SUMMARY: The Sales Engineer will provide pre-sales support and technical expertise for Heidelberg Engineering products and healthcare IT solutions, particularly HEYEX 2 and PACS systems. The position involves working closely with sales teams to educate customers and potential clients on products and services, creating technical diagrams and proposals, and contributing to overall sales strategies and goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide sales support and direct sales to customers during the pre-sales phase, focusing on technical aspects of healthcare IT solutions, particularly HEYEX 2/HEYEX PACS. Assist regional sales teams in customer visits, offering healthcare IT training, presentations, and overall sales process support. Create technical diagrams and proposals, as well as support sales in preparing these documents. Observe and evaluate the market, with an emphasis on technical product aspects and developments, providing insights for sales and product strategies. Provide input regarding sales strategies in collaboration with sales teams, sales directors, project management, and product management. Collaborate with Sales, Clinical Applications Team, Customer Care, and Project Management teams to transition projects from the sales phase to the implementation phase. Initiate and oversee sales initiatives and process for healthcare IT services and HEYEX 2/HEYEX PACS through to resolution. Position Requirements KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or medical informatics or equivalent combination of education, training and professional experience. 2+ years of experience in the sale of medical IT solutions, particularly within PACS, HIS/RIS, EHR systems, and image management. In-depth knowledge of DICOM, HL7, IHE standards, as well as network and storage solutions. Ability to communicate proficiently in English, both written and verbally. Solid account management and CRM experience. Confident understanding of clinical applications in relation to PACS, RIS, and EHR systems. Ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and present complex issues confidently and convincingly. Solid understanding of business administration and the ability to integrate technical and business perspectives. Strong communication and organizational skills, with a sense of responsibility, quality, and a high degree of initiative and flexibility. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties the employee is: constantly required to reach to use computers and other office equipment constantly required to view objects at close and distant ranges frequently required to communicate with others frequently required to sit and stand Requires fine manipulation and simple grasping in order to utilize the computer and other equipment Requires occasional lifting and transporting of items weighing up to 50 lbs. Position requires up to 20% travel to client locations and meetings (both domestic and international). WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employee frequently works in a professional office environment and with lots of computer equipment and moderate amounts of noise and activity. Employee required to travel and visit client locations. The work environment is fast-paced and demanding. Off-shift, and weekend duties may be required as assigned by manager.
