We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Sales Manager with a background in the Food Industry. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and drive sales growth within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading our sales team, implementing sales strategies, and ensuring our sales targets are met and exceeded. The role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of how to align sales strategies and initiatives to business objectives. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the food industry, has a proven track record in direct store delivery sales, and is ready to take their career to the next level.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the assigned area or product line.
Manage, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team to achieve sales targets.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and report to senior management on sales metrics, opportunities, and threats.
Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
Understand and promote company programs.
Ensure brand consistency and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency and increase sales.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
5+ years' experience in a sales role within the food industry with a proven track record in direct store delivery sales.
Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans.
Thorough understanding of sales techniques and the ability to negotiate effectively.
Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude.
Excellent leadership skills with a passion for developing and mentoring a team.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, CRM software, and sales analytics programs.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy.
Ability to travel as needed.
