Position Details
The Security Systems Specialist will be responsible for supporting the physical security systems and hardware technology throughout the enterprise. This role must ensure the viability of all physical security systems with the goal of minimal business disruption. This position will also manage the lifecycle of a project and ensure proper resources are available to support fulfillment. This position is hybrid requiring 50% of time onsite at the Lake Forest or Chicago, IL offices.
You Will Ensure coordination, installation, upgrade and conversion or servicing of alarm systems, access controls, video cameras, burglary systems and fire alarm systems. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of cutting-edge security equipment standards and technology. Review system standards, policies, required upgrades, maintenance, and day-to-day management of all security systems through system integrators. Suggest system solutions to specific security concerns identified through customer requests and security audit. Oversee Grainger's Mass Notification System Provide project planning, tracking and quality assurance and overall vendor communication, management, and invoicing. You Have Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Three plus years of experience supporting physical security systems and project management. A strong background in vendor management. General knowledge troubleshooting IP cameras, NVR's and Access Control Systems. Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking. Strong communication skills to facilitate system training for critical systems. Experience with physical security software solutions such as Genetec, Lenel, Exacqvision. Rewards and Benefits
