Purpose:
The Senior Financial Analyst for Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of the annual planning and quarterly forecasting for Athene as well as assisting with the quarterly analysis.
Accountabilities: Financial Reporting Support the development of plan and forecast documents, including presentation decks Assist in creating quarterly GAAP earnings materials and STAT Cost of Fund (COF) presentations for the executive leadership team Maintain and enhance COF reporting tools for plan/forecast and actual results analysis Collaborate on planning, forecasting, and variance messaging for Athene and Apollo's executive leadership team Cross-Team Collaboration Partner with actuarial functions to conduct relevant analyses, challenging financial plans and leading indicators to identify improvement opportunities Support the development, execution, and monitoring of corporate strategy through relevant variance and financial analyses Financial Analysis and Process Improvement Conduct in-depth analysis of targeted line items and specific revenue and expense categories within the COF Propose and lead process improvements in the GAAP/STAT actual process Assist in maintaining and developing assumptions for the plan/forecast process Participate in ad hoc financial analysis projects as needed Qualifications and Experience: 5+ years of related technical experience preferred CPA, CFA, or MBA designation a plus Life and Annuity Insurance experience preferred Analysis experience, emphasis in asset or liability analysis a plus Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial or an equivalent combination of education and experience
$79,200.00 - $118,800.00 USD Annual
Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
