Senior Technical Advisor, Transportation Planning and Engineering Rocky Hill , Connecticut **Job Summary**
**AECOM Transportation** is seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Technical Advisor, Transportation Planning and Engineering to work out of our Rocky Hill, CT or New York, NY office.
Senior Technical Advisor - Transportation Planning and Engineering - provide subject matter expertise and guidance for junior staff members in planning and engineering for a variety of advanced concepts, theories and processes related to transportation planning and engineering projects, including but not limited to:
- Transportation finance including innovative funding schemes and revenue streams e.g. mileage based user fees for selected highway vehicles such as gas powered automobiles, electric vehicles, trucks, Uber/Lyft type services
- Travel demand forecasting and the effects of COVID-19 on transit and telecommuting;
- Innovations in transit revenue generation, managed lanes and other congestion relief and revenue generation techniques;
- Application of drones in surface transportation planning, management, and operations.
- Implementation of scenario planning techniques and methods to analyze trends and potential policy concerns when planning for future transportation systems

**Minimum Requirements**
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Transportation Planning or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Twelve (12) or more years of relevant professional experience in transportation planning with a minimum of four (4) years in a leadership position
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in Transportation Planning, Engineering, Urban Planning or similar field
* Experience with GIS data development, analysis and programming and InDesign software
* Multi-disciplinary project management for a variety of transportation planning and engineering assignments, including corridor planning (highway, complete streets, bicycle/pedestrian, rapid transit and commuter and freight rail project experience
