The successful candidate will be a key member of the executive leadership, contributing to the vision, strategy, and general management of the company. This role is pivotal in leading and executing the early development strategy, with accountability for translational medicine. The VP/SVP will work closely with the internal research team, from discovery biology to in vivo pharmacology, to integrate translational medicine into development and clinical strategies. Externally, the role involves interfacing with scientific and clinical leaders, as well as business development representatives. The ideal candidate will have an MD or MD-PhD, substantial industry drug development experience, and a proven track record in early-stage clinical development and translational medicine, particularly in the field of immunology and inflammation.
Key responsibilities for the VP/SVP of Translational Medicine at the company include clinical oversight of early clinical studies, setting and championing the vision and business strategy for early development, and collaborating to identify and pursue potential drug candidates.
