**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a seasoned Service Manager with extensive experience in the automotive industry. This role is crucial for leading and developing our service department, ensuring top-tier customer service, and maintaining efficient and effective operations. Familiarity with Honda, Mazda, or Volkswagen is strongly preferred.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead and inspire a team of 15+ service associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Efficiently dispatch tasks and monitor workflow to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Provide hands-on leadership and mentorship to your team, anticipating and addressing their needs.
- Oversee high-priority customer issues, ensuring timely responses and resolutions.
- Continuously update and manage the company's knowledge base to support team success.
- Handle timecard management, schedule creation, and adjustments for holidays and emergencies to ensure fair and consistent staffing.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations in service operations.
**Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** This position is for experienced service managers only, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
- **Brand Familiarity:** Prior experience with Honda, Mazda, or Volkswagen is highly desirable.
- **Technical Proficiency:** Working knowledge of Windows-based computers, essential software applications, Reynolds and Reynolds, and XTIME.
- **Leadership:** Proven ability to manage a department of at least five employees, with a strong track record of effective employee management.
- **Customer Focus:** Commitment to providing exceptional service and resolving customer issues with professionalism.
- **Physical Requirements:** Ability to thrive on the service floor, spending 6-7 hours a day on your feet while supervising service associates.
