Job Description
The Sr Director of LifeCycle Management will own the strategy, identification, and execution of optimizing rack space within our data centers. This will primarily consist of owning the end to end process of decommissioning end of life racks to make space for new generation hardware for our customers. Key responsibilities will include:
Owning the decommissioning strategy for the next 12-24 months, and gaining buy in from all relevant leadership and stakeholders
Setting monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for optimization and power/rack space reclamation
Identifying and optimizing the end to end decommission process to maximize throughput
Identifying automation opportunities and working with developer teams to execute on them
Indirectly leading team members within service teams (compute, networking, storage, etc) to execute on capacity migrations and consolidations
Building a team of program managers who will execute on decommissions on an ongoing basis

Responsibilities
Manages employees who perform project management duties which involving cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of internal products or administrative systems. Oversees plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets. Monitors programs/projects from initiation through delivery and interfaces with internal customers or department personnel. Organizes project activities and interdepartmental meetings. Ensures communication facilitates completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints.
10+ years in cloud/hyperscale rack operations or product
10+ years experience leading teams of managers and senior ICs
Ability to communicate information to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner
Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders to tight deadlines and often shifting priorities
Ability to work cross functionally with technical service teams, engineering, Optical Engineering, Finance, etc and gain buy in to achieve a common goal

US: Hiring Range: from $133,700 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
