Sr. Director, Strategy & Operations - Hybrid (Los Angeles, Seattle, or Denver) The Sr. Director, Strategy & Operations is a key executive role reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives to drive growth and operational excellence within the marketing department.
Location This is a hybrid role from either our El Segundo, CA, Bellevue, WA, or Denver, CO office. What You'll Do Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies in alignment with the company's business objectives. Lead strategic planning and analysis for marketing initiatives, including market research, competitive analysis, and trend identification. Operational Excellence: Oversee the marketing operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Streamline processes, manage budgets, and ensure effective collaborations across teams and vendors. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including revenue, product, BD, finance, and BI to ensure strategic alignment and cohesiveness across the organization. Team Development: Hire, lead, mentor, and work alongside CMO to develop a high-performing marketing team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to inform strategies and measure performance. Implement metrics and KPIs to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement. Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance marketing effectiveness and drive business growth. Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors and agency partners. Other duties as assigned. Who You Are / What You Bring Holds a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. An MBA is preferred. 12+ years of experience in strategic planning, marketing, and operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Or combination of education and experience. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategic plans. Experienced developing and managing department budgets. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Ability to lead and work effectively in teams and at all levels both in and outside of the organization. People management skills, with a proven track record of hiring and retaining and developing talent. Experience building and maintaining a culture of excellence. Proficiency in marketing. Ability to travel as needed. Ability to work across time zones as part of a global organization. Salary Range The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $138,500 - $230,000, plus benefits as described below. In addition, the successful candidate will be eligible to receive other compensation from time to time in the form of discretionary and/or nondiscretionary bonuses and long-term incentive plan. Actual compensation will be influenced by a candidate's qualifications, internal employee equity considerations, and location. We will not ask for information about a candidate's current or past compensation for purposes of developing an offer of employment.

Team members are also covered by company-paid life and disability insurance and have the option of participating in employee-paid supplemental life, accidental death and dismemberment, critical illness, and accident insurance. In addition, team members can enroll in the company's 401(k) plan with up to a 5% match. You receive 15 days of paid vacation yearly, increasing to 20 days after one year. Additionally, you get 5 days of paid sick leave, 13 paid holidays, and 20 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents, 12 weeks for others. Also, there's an opportunity for tuition reimbursement for qualifying expenses.
