HOW YOU WILL SOAR:
The Senior Product Manager of Data Insights will be part of an innovative build team designing a state of the art, greenfield platform for our Health & Benefits customers. This role is responsible for leading the data insights vision and delivery including generating actionable content, orchestrating teams, managing ambiguity and driving outcomes. This role is a trusted peer of a team of engineers, designers, architects and business leaders, with a single focus on developing a solution that delights and delivers value. Individuals that thrive in this role are self-motivated, highly organized, passionate about customer experience, prioritize autonomously, and collaborate in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. The Senior Product Manager will report to the Product Strategy Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Envisions and creates compelling data analytics solutions for Partners and Customers
Habitually conducts and/or participates in end user interviews, focus groups, user testing and rapid experimentation to ensure solutions are exceeding the needs of end users
Analyzes customer feedback, market and technology trends, and competitor offerings to shape long and short-term strategy while providing quick and clear value add to the business
Collaborates with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly products
Assembles data sets and pilots data insights and visualizations in response to customer feedback
Monitors product performance metrics and makes data-driven decisions to optimize user experience and business outcomes
Collaborates with internal stakeholders, various business lines and Technology to elicit, analyze and understand needs, constraints, risks and alignment with organizational strategy and priorities
Works in partnership with the team and stakeholders to employ Agile methods, processes, tools and metrics to deliver value including ongoing product backlog refinement, product roadmaps and release planning
Engages and collaborates with the team to create and manage Agile artifacts (e.g. Product Roadmap, Backlog, Release Plan, Lessons Learned) and information needed for prioritization and decision-making
Regularly assesses features and costs to determine if and when to proceed with a product
Be eager to teach and help develop others professionally, and exhibit passion and excitement about work to inspire others
Other duties as assigned.
IF YOU HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING, APPLY:
7-10 years of experience, preferably in a fast-paced technology environment
Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; Master's Degree preferred
Background in Health Care or start up strongly preferred
Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling products particularly in the data analytics or business intelligence space
Strong knowledge of software design principles
Strong technical background with a deep understanding of data structures, Entity Relationship Diagrams and query skills
Proficient with analytics and visualization tools, PowerBI preferred
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Ability to work with minimal direction, and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and schedules
Proven leadership skills to gain credibility, garner respect, and guide the creation of self-organizing teams
Strategic, innovative, and creative thinker with a superb analytic foundation
Working knowledge of Agile practices such as iterative development, incremental delivery, backlog management, burn down metrics, velocity and task definition
Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills to connect and engage with the team, facilitate discussions, advocate for the team, negotiate with the business, mentor team members, and resolve conflicts
Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously and manage stressful situations
Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing junior product managers
Familiarity with HSA, FSA, HRA, JSA and COBRA products preferred
Ability to provide and accept guidance and constructive feedback
Ability to work occasional overtime.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
