SUMMARY The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing significant contribution to strategic technology planning and sustainment of technology stack. This role the team member will also be responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software, including or related to Windows Servers, VMWare, Veeam and Microsoft 365.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Provide advanced support for technical issuesLead process for user account creation, change, and terminationMonitor and assess IT systemsContribute to technology roadmap and work to keep in-step with industry changesManage file system permissions and enterprise storage capacity Develop and maintain systems standard operating proceduresPerform scheduled operating system patchingManage and maintain the creation of desktop imagesResearch and recommend innovative and automated approaches for administrative tasksDevelop and maintain configuration procedures and create/validate support documentationProvide on-call support as required to ensure sustainment of systems SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None
SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge/Experience in Windows Servers RequiredMicrosoft Certifications preferred.Experience in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, WSUS, WDS requiredExperience in Microsoft SQL, Azure SQL and general data managementExperience in VMWare VSphere/VCenter, Veeam, Next-gen firewall and Aruba Networks or Cisco preferredMicrosoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience a plusEight years minimum system administration experience.The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate.Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to get along with others or to be part of a team.Access to Export Control Information. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year College or University and 8 years of work related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
