The Program Management Office (PMO) at Client Site is responsible for driving cross-functional program planning and execution at the highest level. We partner with leaders from across the company in vehicle development, system design, software engineering, manufacturing, fleet operations, and business functions to develop and deliver major corporate milestones on the path to launch, and beyond. Our program managers contribute to the end to end success of technical, integrated product milestones involving both of our vehicle platforms - the Toyota Highlander test fleet and Clients purpose-built robotaxi.
The Technical Program Manager for Robot Platform on PMO is a seasoned program management expert that will be responsible for planning and execution of technical projects for our vehicle platforms spanning from configuration management, bug tracking to tracking corporate level KPIs. This person will work closely within the PMO team and cross functionally with leaders across hardware, firmware, software, safety, operations, manufacturing and systems integration to structure, plan, and execute projects. The right candidate will have experience in change management or configuration management processes, has background and experience in process development and is comfortable working & automating with tools such as Jira, confluence, Looker, google suite (google sheet / google doc), etc
Responsibilities Proficient in tools or processes required to manage complex projects (i.e. JIRA, google suite, Looker, Gantt chart, risk matrix, Smartsheet, Jira, etc.) Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills are a must, ability to create visualizations of KPIs and program risks KPIs: Manage KPIs and other methods to measure metrics that best translate progress towards goals Configuration management: manage various configurations, maintain configuration dashboards and documentations Confluence Management: Managing confluence pages and ensuring they are updated Planning with SmartSheet: Smartsheet upkeep (tweaks, clean ups, access requests, etc.) Change Control: Managing the Change Control process for various domains and documentation Risk Register: Risk register management and follow ups Minutes of Meeting: Taking notes and following up on actions Reporting: Supporting program level communications which include presentations, reports and related forums. Program Management Tooling: Lead the effort to develop robust reporting tools for all program management teams according to their needs, partnering with IT and other teams to develop and roll out solutions Communications: Establish standard reports to provide concise and effective communications to key stakeholders on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishmentsQualifications BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience 7+ years of experience in engineering, program management, or management consulting with a focus on product launches Success in driving complex software and hardware integration processes and optimizations, and leading complex cross-functional programsBonus Qualifications PMP certified or equivalent Experience with autonomous vehicles, test platforms, and automotive or aerospace processes is highly desired Experience with developing and scaling strategy, processes, plans, procedures & reporting.
