Description Zanti Cucina Trattoria We are looking for a To Go Cashier to join our team!
The To Go Cashier should be confident, engaging, and professional while creating a memorable guest experience. The To Go Cashier will follow presentation guidelines to meet or exceed the guest's expectations while also ensuring proper food safety and sanitation standards are upheld. The TTo Go Cashier is the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers' experiences. The roll and responsibilities include ensuring our to-go counter and pass are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. Your job as to go cashier will be a blend of hospitality and operations. Aside from taking orders and processing payments, you'll often be responsible for making sure the front of the house is neat and orderly, restocking items, and answering the phone. The most important aspect of your work is to provide accurate and friendly service to ensure guests will return.
Primary Duties
•Greet and provide excellent customer service
•Answer phones promptly and professionally
•Possess menu knowledge and provide customers with an accurate and efficient experience
•Take accurate food and drink orders and correctly enter them into POS system
•Pack and bag orders
•Deliver checks and collect payment
•Coordinate with management on times, volumes, and delivery availability
•Maintain to-go area of restaurant for cleanliness and stock materials accordingly
•The To Go Cashier is committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift and use proper safety equipment, tools.
Responsibilities Include
•Greet guests in an enthusiastic way, attend to customers upon entrance
•Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages in person or by call
•Take guests' order using the steps of service, performs cashiering duties, including making cash transactions, verifying cash drawer, giving change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports
•Enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
•Ensure to-go and call-in orders are properly rung up in the POS system
•Handle all cash, credit card and gift card transactions
•Check identification before serving and delivery alcohol according to state law
•Prepare restaurant to-go counters with special attention to sanitation and order, maintain a clean, sanitized service area
•Prepare and package correctly the guest order according to the system order, make sure is ready and complete according to time and server safe, food safety standards
•Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
•Makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment, issues receipts to customers. Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds
•Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
•Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
Position Requirements Candidate profile:
•3 months' experience in the food and beverage, culinary, hospitality or related professional area
•At least 6 months experience as cashier, server, or similar position in upscale or fine dining serving experience is desirable
•To-go or curbside experience is preferred, but not required
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Licenses/Certifications: Food Safety Certification and TABC certifications
Working conditions:
•Ability to perform all functions indicated above
•Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion
•Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operate phones, computer, and other office equipment
•Must be eligible to work in the United States
•Must agree to background
•Be present in the critical and crowded hours in the operation of the restaurant, able to work lunch and dinner shifts.
•Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
•Expect to work more than 35 hours a week. Hours may vary.
