** Transportation Operations Manager**

**Description**
**Position Overview:**
The Manager, Customer Operations is responsible for facilitating efficient operations and enabling information flow with the customer to ensure continuity, quality, and value. The Manager will develop operations solutions and drive change based on customer needs across their entire Supply Chain. This position will be the transportation liaison between the TMC, the customer, the Logistics Centers and associated Manufacturers, Co-packers and Suppliers.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
* **Value Creation**
Build a strong collaborative relationship with internal and external parties through effective communication and execution of initiatives. Act as the primary transportation resource for our customers by assessing complex business situations, identifying problems through root cause analysis and developing strategies to improve service and control expenses. Drive retailer-specific program compliance through understanding customer, warehouse and consignee needs. Provide operational expertise and leverage in depth customer knowledge to support field operations on various initiatives. Ensure all customer issues are escalated in an efficient manner, informing the TMC, VP of Trans and VP/GM of Operations team of any problems that may arise.
* **Project Execution**
Lead and manage projects with both internal and external resources. Drive results through data collection and market trend analytics, leading to actionable processes. Implement process changes in the TMC, Manufacturers, Co-packers and Third Party Providers to improve operational performance. Create and implement transportation initiatives that facilitate new business opportunities with the customer. Analyze cost and pricing strategies to ensure value based ROI. Develop key metrics, graphs, timelines and other presentation materials in support of customer meetings. Oversee account receivables and invoicing.
* **Team Leadership**
Lead team of front line Analysts and Specialists, providing feedback and guidance on strategies to support customer needs. Travel up to 25% to Warehouses, customer locations and plants / co-packers.
* **Additional duties as assigned.**
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required. MBA in Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
* 5-7 years of management experience in Transportation, Logistics, or related field.
* Demonstrated ability in account management and developing collaborative customer relationships.
* Knowledgeable in logistics center operations with basic understanding of warehousing, inventory, order fulfillment, customer service, and transportation.
* Competency in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
* Ability to travel up to 25% to Logistics Centers, customer locations and plants / co-packers.
* Experience working in MercuryGate TMS is a plus.
