All RN staff, Special Care Nursery > 32 wks GA
Level I- 3:1 with four beds on the unit
Level II- 2:1 with two beds on the unit
Mother Baby- 3:1
60 Births per month
Age Groups of Patients: Neonate and Adults
Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: Stabilize and transition from intrauterine to extrauterine life. Chorioamnionitis prophylaxis, meconium aspiration, prematurity (32-34 5/7 wks) management of Late Preterm Infant(35-37 weeks GA.
Any special procedure done on the unit? Special Care Nursery includes 2 level II beds, many level I infants can be cared for in mother's room. HHFNC, NCPAP, UAC/UVC management of lines, TPN, lipids,
Traveler must be able to work Level II, attend high and low risk briths and mother/baby care
