Western Wisconsin Health is looking for a casual Ultrasound Technician that can operate the Ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic imaging studies and performs multiple tasks within the Radiology Department. All of this is done to support the organization's mission while living our values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs ultrasound procedures including OB/Gyn, abdomen, renal/bladder, carotids, venous doppler, breast, testicular, thyroid, biopsies, drainage procedures, and lower extremity arterial studies; Performs patient care by thoroughly evaluating patient status and changes in physical condition Performs ultrasound QA Assists department manager with ultrasound policies and procedures Transports patients safely and have the physical ability of lifting and repositioning without endangering Schedules exams, answers phones, processes film, files and keeps accurate records Participates in ultrasound emergency call Demonstrates awareness, understanding and respect of cultural diversity and patients of all ages and socioeconomic groups; and Other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications: RDMS certified in a minimum of one discipline Vascular certified with credentials RVS, RVT, RCVT, or ARRT Vascular CPR certified Currently working as an Ultrasound Technologist on a regular basis Other qualifications: Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and electronic medical records Ability to anticipate, understand, and manage patient expectations and provide consistent delivery of services Clearly and effectively convey information to patients Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently Ability to consistently carry out job responsibilities, able to acknowledge when commitments are not met, and take appropriate steps to fulfill responsibility Ability to analyze, identify, and solve problems while using sound judgment Shift Requirements: Casual/call position covering all shifts as needed to include weekends and call. Minimum of 1 shift worked per month or weekend call rotation Must cover 1 holiday per year 60 minute response time when on call ABOUT WESTERN WISCONSIN HEALTH
