Job Title: Varsity Boys Head Tennis Coach (regular season)

Reports To: Athletic Director, Associate Athletic Director

Season Dates: February 10, 2025 - early May, 2025

Job purpose

To help create and promote a healthy team, player/coach, coach to coach dynamicCreate a space for students to have the opportunity to participate in sport specific training during their season

Duties and responsibilities
Plan, direct and supervise practicesAttend all games: be prepared with a game plan and lineups as necessaryRide team bus when necessary or coordinate with your assistant to ride the busBe present at team gatheringsCreate and coordinate opportunities for the team to develop camaraderieAdjust typical practice plans to accommodate for COVID restrictions (if necessary)Manage equipmentCoordinate and Facilitate uniform return when necessaryParticipate in coaching meetingsCommunicate with team and parents as necessaryCommunicate necessary information to team parentReport game results to the athletic departmentComplete coaching education as required by the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF)

Qualifications
Undergraduate Degree preferredKnowledge of sportAbility to improve team dynamicsOrganized, positive, patientEnjoys working with teenagersPrevious playing or coaching experienceCPR/FIRST Aid Certification
Working conditions

Essential Physical Tasks: To work on your feet for multiple hours. Lift and carry up to 40 lbs of equipment. Travel to offsite facilities and ability to work evenings and some weekends.
