The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring, training, and managing the team, as well as ensuring the company's compliance with a range of regulations including the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, the Patriot Act, and various other regulatory and legal requirements. This role involves staying current on regulatory and legal developments, developing and delivering compliance training, and working closely with the CRA Officer and Compliance Officer to implement new regulation workflows and procedures. The VP, Commercial Compliance Manager will also be a key member of the Small Business and Commercial Leadership Teams, contributing to new product creation, technology enhancements, and the future growth of the commercial and small business sectors.
Candidates for the VP, Commercial Compliance Manager position at the company should have a BS/BA or equivalent experience, with a preference for a degree in a related field, and at least 5 years' of well-rounded general banking knowledge. A minimum of 2 years' of experience in compliance monitoring or loan underwriting, as well as supervisory experience, is required. The role demands a thorough understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask, and will be committed to upholding ethical standards and reducing risk in all aspects of their duties.
