The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on all matters related to Catholic and Dominican identity, building partnerships with regional and national religious organizations, and supervising various ministry departments. As the University Mission Officer, the VPMM will provide vision for mission integration, faith formation, and the advancement of social justice and interfaith relationships. Active engagement with internal stakeholders, including academic departments, and the development of programs that promote the university's spiritual and cultural values are also key aspects of the position.
Applicants must have a Master's degree in a relevant field, a deep commitment to the Roman Catholic faith, and a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a religious, educational, or related setting. The role requires proficiency in liturgical norms, strong skills in leadership and strategic planning, and a proven track record of fostering inclusive, multicultural, and multifaith communities. Experience in culturally responsive ministry, supervision of teams, and mission integration within a diverse community is essential. The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree, experience in grant writing or fundraising, and proficiency in multiple languages. The VPMM will be expected to embody the values of the university, support the development of diverse student and faculty communities, and actively contribute to the institution's mission of truth, compassionate service, and the pursuit of a more just and humane world.
