About the Role The Company is seeking a VP of Finance to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounting and financial functions of the firm, with a focus on growing business. This includes fund accounting, ensuring appropriate expense allocations, reviewing financial reports, and managing the annual audit process. The role also involves overseeing the management company's financial activities, such as budgeting, intercompany payments, and annual tax filings, as well as fund capital management and planning. Additionally, the VP of Finance will be involved in operations and compliance, assisting with regulatory management, legal needs, and HR matters.

Applicants for the VP of Finance position at the company should have 6-10 years of relevant industry experience, with a CPA qualification preferred. A strong foundation in fund accounting, procedures, and controls is essential, and some experience in tax, valuations, and management company accounting is a plus. The role requires a candidate with a background that ideally includes a combination of Big 4 experience in financial services and recent experience at a private equity or venture capital firm. The VP of Finance will work closely with the CAO and COO, supervising a small internal team and their outsourced providers, and must be capable of handling a wide range of financial and operational responsibilities.
