About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President for Research and Product Development to lead in the advancement of precision drug delivery technology. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the strategic planning and decision-making processes, as well as the management of technical, scientific, and operational resources. This role involves a hands-on approach, including responsibility for all research and product development activities, from early-stage drug delivery programs to the deployment of therapies across various clinical areas. The VP will also be tasked with managing a small team of scientists, fostering collaborations across academic and industry partnerships, and ensuring the company's growth and pipeline leadership.

Applicants must have a PhD with a focus on biology, biological sciences, or pharmacology, and a minimum of 5-10 years' of relevant experience in both academic and biotech/pharma industries. A strong background in pharmaceutical product development, particularly in the areas of analytical, in vitro, and in vivo study design, is essential. Experience with nanoparticle delivery systems, peptide-based pharmaceuticals, nucleic acid vaccines and/or therapies, and related to the clinical areas of cystic fibrosis, pulmonary, rare diseases, diabetes, vaccines, and targeted therapies, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be results-focused, with excellent project planning, portfolio management, and communication skills, and must be capable of influencing and effecting change across the organization, including executive leadership. A detailed visionary with the ability to paint a strategic picture and a flexible leader who is comfortable with a hands-on work ethic will thrive in this role.
